Meet Kim Parker

Food Security Structures Canada's Kim Parker brings 25+ years of leadership, sales, and marketing experience to this important initiative. Passionate about using her skills to help create sustainable food solutions, Kim focuses her company's efforts on Canada's northern communities, urban food deserts, and at risk communities around the world.
Raised on a small family farm in Southwestern Ontario, Kim recognized the importance her family's gardens were to their food security. Like her mother and grandmothers before her, she has always had a garden to provide fresh vegetables for her family, and knows how important their harvests were to her family's wellness.
Kim's Metis heritage has also played an important role in grounding her, and helping her maintain her connection with the earth, community, and family. Each day she strives to honour her relatives - past, present & future - with the work that she does.
She believes that everyone has the right to be able to access affordable, fresh, healthy food, and she is excited to be able to help bring this innovative growing system to people everywhere.
